Drawing course for youth

1508 artist Michelangelo painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. During 20 months he layed on his back close to the ceiling and painted.

Five hundred years later Art Lab Gnesta offer young people to decorate the ceilings, walls and floors of the winsch room in the old brewery in Gnesta.

Together we build on the tradition of co-creation formed by earlier projects such as Trappgatan, Gnesta painting wall and Klotterstaden. All recognized and appreciated far beyond Gnesta.

During the course, we try to find a pleasurable and enjoyable kind of drawing. We use the drawing as a way to interact, explore and express.

We started with three days of open workshops during the autumn break. Now everyone between 12-16 are welcome to sign up for the course to be held Monday evenings throughout the year.

When the work is finished it will be celebrated with a grand opening!

The course takes place on Monday evenings 16 Aug, November 23 & 30, December 7 & 14.
