Swamp Cosmos is an interactive performance, a soundscape that bubbles of sour water, smells and the varying colors that take place in a wetland. By camouflaging in the swamp, the participant can explore the flora and fauna as well as all the mysterious sounds and movements of the swamp. We ask ourselves: by camouflaging as an animal, an insect or a plant, can we approach nature and challenge the perspectives that makes human dominate nature? In an era of climate challenges, we combine artistic, scientific and philosophical perspectives in a choreographed audio installation.
The performance is presented in Marksjön in Gnesta where the audience gets to know the work with headphones. Bring boots!
An Arena Baubo production in collaboration with Art Lab Gnesta and UngaTur. With the support of the Swedish Arts Council and Stockholm City.
