Finally, we reopen the exhibition Morphology of Errors – zero points with new works by Malin Franzén, that builds on the earlier exhibition that opened in the autumn of 2020.
Behind the exhibitions lies a project spanning several years, in which Malin Franzén has researched knowledge-seeking processes in botany, printing and nature conservation, and returned to Gnesta for practical research, residency stays and meetings. Since the autumn, the artist has produced new works and with the help of photogrammetry, 3D modeling and AR investigated the exhibition’s own morphology.
Here the artist approaches zero points – the work’s beginning and end, contraction and expansion, rapprochement and expulsion. Art Lab Gnesta’s ground floor and greenhouse are filled with woodcuts, hand-made books, video works, ceramic sculptures, and a very special purple color that connects the interest in the impossibility of knowledge.
Welcome to visit the exhibition Fri-Sun at 12:00-16:00, April 17-May 23.
