Art Lab Gnesta has invited textile artist Lina Sofia Lundin to lead an exploring textile dyeing workshop based in the swamp. Together with biologist Hans Rydberg of Naturskyddsföreningen Daga-Gnesta we start with a tour around the swamp where we look at what is really growing in the wetland. After having collected our dyeing materials we head to Art Lab Gnesta to begin experimenting on wool yarn and cotton and silk fabric.
Lina Sofia Lundin is educated at HDK in Gothenburg and based in Falun. In 2014 she published the book Natural Dyeing – Food and Clothes in one cycle.
The workshop is free of charge and the number of participants is limited to 15 people. Registration is binding and we will charge 300 kr if you register and not show up.

The workshop is conducted during the exhibition Swamp Biennial and is a collaboration with the handicraft consultant in Sörmland / Sörmlands museum.
